Hey Susan,

I'm glad I'm able to help a fellow book blogger out! That makes it all worthwhile. It did take me a few tries to start being able to find ARCs regularly, but having a blog definitely seems to help.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you for doing this. I am a book blogger. I did request a ARC a few weeks ago without a response. Maybe this time I will get one with the email address you provided. I also wanted Wet Nurse Tale. I just finished reading The Midwife it is a memoir and set in England what a compliment from each other if I get one. Thanks again.

Hey Kate!

As far as I'm aware, I'm the only person who does ARC lists like this. However, I do know that if you become member of LibraryThing.com and sign up for their Early Reviewers program, they do a huge giveaway every month. Many of the books are UK-inclusive or UK-only, so you should be able to find some good ones. It takes a little while to get chosen to receive an ARC, but once you do, you seem to be continually chosen for every month after that -- so long as you make sure to leave a little review of the book on your LibraryThing account every month. Plus, LibraryThing is just a fun service. :)

Good luck and thanks for reading!

The Wet Nurse's Tale looks really interesting, wish I could request a copy here in the UK! Any idea where I might be able to find a list of British ARCs? :)

Hey Cello,

Thanks for commenting! I just collect information and reviews on the ARC's that I post about, so I don't actually know what they're like yet. The Actor and the Housewife did sound kind of interesting through certain things I was reading, but I really wasn't sure whether it would be your typical chick-lit or not. Your description of it sounds a lot more appealing to me than the publisher's product description made it sound, though!

Thanks for reading!

ohh I've actually read The Actor and the Houswife, this book is not for YA readers--it is more reminiscent of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Honey Moon than Book of a Thousand Days. It is not quite a romance novel (love and sex are not the focus of the relationship between the hero and heroine, though there is still plenty of sexuality) and not quite chick-lit either (Becky lacks the independence found in that contemporary genera). A great Book Club pick!
